Some network devices have special URL requirements, so just hitting port 80 doesn't work 100% of the time.  Like we have some NAS units for backup needs.  Their URL is port 5000 with specific folders for admin or user connections.  like &lt;A href="http://nas:5000/admin"&gt;http://nas:5000/admin&lt;/A&gt; or something like that.  Plus other devices like network printer, and routers all can be easily managed with this tool too.  I only hit these devices with I.E. and nothing else so VNC or RDP is not needed for them.</description><pubDate>Tue, 11 Sep 2007 16:03:47 GMT</pubDate><dc:creator>scottwilkins</dc:creator></item></channel></rss>
